GoodShout is a free UK business directory that helps people find businesses, understand their services and get in touch.
Who runs GoodShout?
GoodShout is operated by 4mplify Ltd, a UK company (company number 16406706). 4mplify builds websites, business automations and custom software. GoodShout is its directory service, with free standard business listings.
We currently cover the United Kingdom. You can browse business categories, explore towns and cities, or describe what you need to find a suitable category and location.
Where listing information comes from
Profiles can contain information from business representatives, publicly available business websites and directories, inherited directory records and public registers. A business may be listed before it has registered with GoodShout. A listing does not mean that the business supplied or approved every detail.
New listing submissions and ownership requests are reviewed before approval. Existing imported records have not necessarily been individually checked, and these checks do not certify the quality of a business’s work.
Business owners can claim their existing profile, add services and photos, and submit corrections. Imported details can be incomplete or out of date, so check important information directly with the business before booking or travelling.
What the trust information means
Where available, profiles show information linked to public registers, such as food hygiene ratings. Check the named source, date and scope shown on the profile: a rating or registration applies to that record and is not a general GoodShout recommendation.
An owner-managed badge means the listing has a connected manager. It is not a quality award or a guarantee of the business’s work. Service coverage supplied by a business is separate from its address; if coverage has not been confirmed, ask the business whether it serves your area.
Customer reviews are separate from register information. Read individual experiences alongside the services, contact details and source information available.
Help keep details accurate
Use “Suggest a correction” on a profile to report incorrect details. If you represent the business, claim its existing listing rather than adding a duplicate. You can also contact GoodShout about inaccurate information, a home address, a duplicate or a removal request. You do not need to pay for a listing to raise a concern.

Free listings and optional services
Searching the directory and having a standard business listing are free. GoodShout also introduces optional paid services from 4mplify and other providers. Advertisements and affiliate links are labelled; we may receive commission when someone purchases through an affiliate link.
