Leading local independent family owned oil distributor, providing a personal professional service, local staff local people .
Our company was started in 1985 by our Managing Director Craig Lamont. He Started the business after a career in formula One. with a clear vision to set up an independent local oil disribution company, Western Counties Fuel Oils was born in Taunton.Craig has always been a hands on MD and has done every job in the company, from answering customer calls, to routing the tankers and driving the tankers himself — and still goes out if we are extremely busy!
In 1996 the company moved to larger premises in Bridgwater and was joined by shareholder and Financial director Nick Smith. The company name was shortened to Western fuel Limited and has gone from strength to strength.
The company started with 1 tanker and has steadily grown over the years to a fleet of 15 in 2003 leaving a trail of loyal, satisfied customers in it’s wake. With our flagship depot in Bridgwater full with our ever growing number of tankers, we opened our Taunton depot in 2006.
