Chef, David Jenkins, had a background in fine dining, but at Rock Salt they looked to provide something altogether different.

Opened in Novemeber 2011 the family haven’t looked back, its turned quickly into one of Plymouth’s most vibrant eating places. The relaxed and informal setting of an old pub turned into a cosy and bustling meeting place.

With an aim to reach the foodies of the local area, tempting people with local, coffee or a glass of wine to go with some exciting and imaginative food.Expect to see a home made burger along side a pad thai noodle dish during the day.

And for evenings something all together more special, ox cheek tortellini with asparagus veloute or home cured sea trout with cucumber, wasabi and cr�me fra�che. They even do their own tasting menu of 7 courses for the hard core foodies! Well worth a tryRock Salt is now open 7 days a week.
