Kingsteignton Veterinary Group

BOVEY BRANCHThere has been a veterinary clinic affiliated to Kingsteignton Veterinary Group in Bovey Tracey since 1965. Mr. Kay Rumford moved into his house that summer, and used to consult with clients in his conservatory of a lunchtime. There was a lot more farm work than small animal work in those days, and much less Health & Safety.

The farmers could pick up medicines through a special hatch at any time of the day. When his retirement loomed, the present shop was rented in 1998 and refurbished to suit the purpose, designed by Kay's wife Muriel.Sixteen years later, we are still consulting at number 11 on Bovey's Fore Street, and offer consulting times on weekday mornings and evenings.

Jean, our receptionist, mans the fort and has come to know many of the clients personally by name. She is very involved in the Bovey art society and is a keen photographer. She looks forward to meeting you!..
