Renewable energy and quality animal feeds through food recyclingShropshires is an established surplus food processing company based in Huncote, Leicestershire.
We specialise in recycling commercial food waste into biogas energy and quality animal feeds - helping our customers to maximise the revenue and minimise the costs in disposing of surplus food production. Competitive disposal rates available. We collect all types of commercial food waste from your premises, even in it's packaging (apart from glass).
We then process it in our advanced AD Plant where bacteria work on the waste in a controlled environment. The process creates biogas which is sent to Generators to create 3.2 MW of electricity, and bio-fertiliser for farms.
